| | | | Introduction | | Opening September 2008 (formally White Sands Resort & Spa) - Diva Resort and Spa is tucked far away in the South Ari Atoll lies the picture-perfect island of Dhidhoofinolhu, home to a new private island paradise that's set to become one of the luxury superstars of the Maldives. On its doorstep are four kilometres of virgin beach, a crystal-clear lagoon, and some of the best dive sites in the region.
The resort boasts a range of six restaurants and six bars set in stunning locations. There are three styles of cuisine, which include Italian, Oriental and Asian. The Asian flagship is the Japanese restaurant, where the chef performs. "Live" show- tables should be reserved in advance!
For relaxation, the spa provides a range of services, including massages that are truly amazing. Nestled among lush green vegetation, the infinity spa has three sections: one for men, one for women and one for both!
A varied selection of sumptuous suites and villas are all built in traditional Maldivian-style, using indigenous materials. All villas have a sunken bath and a furnished terrace with direct access to the lovely lagoon. Luxury leisure facilities include two pools, a spa with double overwater treatment pavilions, six restaurants and bars, floodlit tennis courts, a gym, and a five-star dive centre offering PADI tuition and two organised dives a day. | | Spa | | | SPA - This spa must have one of the most unique settings in the world, where the wooden floors and fittings lend natural beauty to an airy and spacious location. Amber and blue-green shades of colour add to the atmosphere of tranquillity. The reception area is open to the air under a thatched, timbered roof, looking out over the sand and lush tropical vegetation. There are welcoming water features, making it a pleasant place in which to relax before or after treatments. The common areas include a boutique, which includes a full range of products, a room for manicure and pedicure treatments, a cold pool and a whirlpool. | | | Kids | | | Kids Club - The ideal arrangement for both parents and their youngsters! | | | | | Beach Villas: Beach Villas (90m˛) The Beach Villas are as attractive as the Beach Pool Villas, with larger gardens but without individual swimming pools. | | | | | | | | Beach Pool Villas: The sunsets from the west-facing Beach Pool Villas (110 m˛) are sensational - and there is a view of the lagoon and sunset even from the bed itself. The rooms, with their luxurious en-suite bathrooms, are pure elegance and the extensive use of local wood for the floors and fittings, as well as the Pierre Frey fabrics from Paris, give an added warmth.
The individual terrace is more like extended living space, with its wooden decking and a settee for reading, lounging or simply gazing at the lagoon. There is also a table, large enough for meals or for use as a writing desk. Each Villa has a private garden on its far side, featuring a sunken swimming pool with a wooden deck surround, 2 sunloungers and an outdoor shower. Beautiful Maldivian wood flooring, Egyptian cotton sheets and Pierre Frey fabrics from Paris give bedrooms a warm and luxurious feel. The décor has been inspired by the lagoon, with touches of turquoise and shades of beige and ochre, offset by motifs of sea life that bring the ocean setting dramatically to life. The lagoon itself is clearly visible from both the bed and the bath. Each Villa has its own luxurious bathroom with a sunken bath, and the bedroom can sleep two people, as well as a child under 12. A cot can also be provided.
